MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Sunday congratulated pole vault ace EJ Obiena for successful and bagging the nation’s first gold medal within the nineteenth Asian Video games in Hangzhou, China Saturday night.
“Congratulations, EJ, on clinching our first gold in males’s pole vault on the nineteenth Asian Video games!” Marcos tweeted on Sunday.
Obiena led the finals after he cleared 5.75 meters and later cleared 5.90 meters to clinch the gold medal.
