Geese declare 2019 first-round choose Lassi Thomson off waivers from Senators

The Anaheim Geese have claimed defenceman Lassi Thomson off waivers from the Ottawa Senators, per Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.

The Senators chosen Thomson with the nineteenth total choose within the first spherical of the 2019 draft. He has performed in 18 profession NHL video games during the last two seasons, choosing up his first 5 profession factors in 2021-22. He was held off the scoresheet in two video games with Ottawa in 2022-23.

The 23-year-old performed 56 video games with the Belleville Senators within the AHL final season, scoring seven targets and registering 33 factors.

Ottawa introduced it was inserting Thomson on waivers Friday, alongside forwards Josh Currie, Garrett Pilon and defenceman Dillon Heatherington.
